Birthdays and Babies

It's hard to believe GB#4 is six today.
We celebrated yesterday at a new-to-us park.
It was so good to see this little family
that will soon be getting a little bit bigger.

Easter Dresses Revealed

As promised, here is the Easter dress reveal.  The patterns above are the ones I used.
They came from my childhood home, have been in my possession for many years
and are dated 1959 and 1957.
Dress number one was made for GB#4.

I love the details that are a part of the vintage patterns.

Of course, the dress alone was not enough.  It needed a sweet pinafore.
The back was just as sweet as the front.
The details continue on the pinafore.
Ruffled eyelet trim,
and a scalloped hem complete the look.
GB#4 seems happy with her new outfit.
Dress number two was made for GB#2.
I used a different floral than the first dress but used the same pink gingham for the accents.
The details continue on this dress.

It was such a joy to work on and complete these little treasures.
I love the outcome.  Mom (CJ) was especially thrilled.
And since the girls were dressed in their new duds,
I took the opportunity to do a quick photo shoot of their whole family.

A Couple of Young Men

T-bone (DS) was sworn in as a lawyer today.  We are so proud of that young man.
Later in the day we did our 4 month shoot for GB#3.
These are a few of the shots that didn't make picture of the day.

Here's looking at you,

Sharon

Time Flies

This little one (GB#1) is 11 months old.
I don't think that's really possible.
But seriously, it is possible.  Time flies.

See you soon,
Sharon

What is it?

Day 21 of the June Challenge:  Micro (up close)
I haven't done a "What Is It?" for a while.
Here is my Micro picture.  What is it?
GB#2 is 7 months old today.  She is quite tall.
She is quite grown up and getting very mobile.
She is curious
and loves to show us her personality.

So...what is it?

Someone You Love

Day 14 of the June Challenge:  Someone You Love

As luck would have it, CJ arranged a photo shoot today in honor of Father's Day
for T-Bone and GB#2 (Daddy and daughter).
It was perfect weather for an outside shoot and perfect timing for the challenge.

See you next time,
Sharon

Number 7 for June

My challenge photo for today, High Angle, is the angel who lives in our backyard.
I like him back there amongst the greenery and flowers.
My kids think he's creepy.

Since yesterday was GB#1's catch up day, my catch up photos for today are of GB#2.

In April GB#2 turned 5 months.  I'll use this one for the mosaic.

With a wardrobe change, we took a few (several) more.

These are just a few of my favorites.

Then in May she turned 6 months.

This time we ventured outside for the photo session.

GB#2 was fascinated by her fluffy underskirt.

And finally, she thoroughly enjoyed her first swing.

See you tomorrow,
Sharon

I'm late, I'm late

As I was loading pictures today I found some Easter things I forgot to show you.
I'll show you now.
These darling little booties were made for one little girl.
They looked adorable with her outfit.  No biased opinion here.
The free pattern is Saartje's Bootees and can be found here.
And for their first Easter, the little girls received
store-bought chicks
in Grandma-made baskets.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
