Some Fun

GB#2 is two months old.  She is learning to smile on command. 

Perfect timing for the mosaic picture.

While we were at the business of taking photos, I took the opportunity to photograph the two little ones together in their Hogwarts clothes they received for Christmas.  

If GB#1 didn't have a hold of her feet (which she seems to enjoy immensely) you would see that these little ladies are about the same size.

And like a good older cousin would do, GB#1 is explaining to GB#2 how this photo session stuff works.  I imagine she is telling her, "It's really not that bad."

Wish M Happy Birthday.  Check.

Finish tiny giraffe.  Put Minkee on the back.

A Word for 2013

After great deliberation, I have finally picked a word for the year. 

This is the feeling I'd like to surround myself with in 2013. 

It is framed and on the shelf in my sewing space.

It was so much fun, I have joined the new group for 2013.

Five Months

For those of you who have seen my 366 day blog, 

you know that if it's the 6th of the month, 

it's time for a photo session with (grandbaby) GB#1.

For those of you who are new, 

I am taking one photo each month to make a first year mosaic.

Here is one of my favorites.

The sun came out today.  Here is my newly lined project bag.

Now the only time my knitting needles come out of my bag is when I take them out.

Sewing Day

I've noticed recently that my knitting project bag has a small problem.

In an effort to prevent the loss of any knitting needles, 

I decided to make a lining for the bag. 

So I picked out some fabric, drew up a plan and cut the fabric.

While I was in the cutting mode, I cut out fabric for a couple other projects.

No actual sewing took place this afternoon, but this evening...

I snuck in a little sewing time and finished my project bag improvement.

If the sun comes out tomorrow, I will get some reveal pictures to show you.
