After a day out with my mother, I arrived home to some excitement on the block.
The fire hydrant across the street was ready for use.
It was pouring down rain and trucks were completely blocking the street.
Luckily it was a minor smoke problem in the attic of a neighbor's house
and nobody was hurt.
And just as the emergency was over, the rain stopped.
